Nexus Mod Manager is a great way to download and install mods easily and quickly. It's just that sometimes it completely denies me from downloading several mods from the site (Project Nevada for example for FO:NV, I just had to install it manually as NMM was always unable to download file).

Nexus Mod Manager Although we no longer support Nexus Mod Manager, for those that prefer to stick to NMM the last official release is still available. While my PC can hold 100+ FPS almost anywhere, my laptop goes anywhere from mid 40's outside to 140 indoors and this mod can handle it well. Even when the FPS dips below 60, it feels better than vanilla and when you hit 80, the game just feels so good you can't help but smile a little. Tl;dr: Go download it and uncap your FPS. To find your download history, simply click on 'Mods' from the main menu of the site, and click "Download history".
